One of the latest high tech initiatives in the region of Twente is the development of a High Tech Systems Park (HTSP) on the site of Thales Group in Hengelo. Thales is an international company specialized in the development of sensors, radars and cybersecurity. One of the drivers behind this development is the desire to attract and maintain a highly educated workforce in order to stay innovative and competitive in the near future.
HTSP focuses on R&D and open innovation. To make that happen HTSP aims to attract new businesses, generate new business, set up joint innovation projects and further develop various technology clusters.
