British medical device manufacturer sets up shop in The Netherlands

The British company Neo G is expanding into in the Netherlands. Based in Aalten in the Achterhoek region, the company hopes to conquer the European market with medical aids, such as ankle and knee braces, orthotics and tape. The first products can already be found in Dutch drugstores. Oost NL supported the British company in its establishment.

For the time being, Director of Sales & Marketing Eurokpe, Gijs Nijhof, is representing the Dutch BV of Neo G in Aalten. It is expected that the team will expand in the near future. Neo G is a leading brand of bandages and braces in the UK and is growing rapidly in the US. "To manage the growth and demand of our product also in the EU, we have opened a warehouse/distribution center and sales office in the Netherlands," says Nijhof. "In order to offer our customers the best service and fast turnaround times, we made the decision to open our European headquarters in the East of the Netherlands. The good facilities and access to the rest of the European Union were the main drivers to establish ourselves in this part of the country."

Among other things, Oost NL helped with the start-up by finding support tools to facilitate growth. In addition, Oost NL linked the company to useful contacts and service providers in the region. "Oost NL made us feel welcome in the region and understood where they could help us and where we could go with other help requests," Nijhof says.
