Belgian company Dekimo is expanding in Enschede. The company has had an office in The Gallery in Enschede since last year and will now further develop its activities: offering consultancy services in the field of electronics and software. Oost NL advised the company with its expansion plans.
Dekimo Experts is the consultancy arm of the Dekimo Group and focuses on providing on-site consultancy, by empowering their customers with additional skills and resources for software and hardware engineering, for example for Internet-of-Things hardware and IoT data processing.
Proximity to Germany
Huub Wispels has been appointed Managing Director to accelerate the growth: "From Enschede we want to serve North and East Netherlands, but also adjacent parts of Germany. The market for expertise is growing rapidly. For us, a further expansion of our activities in Enschede was a logical step. To properly serve this market, we are still looking for software and hardware engineers with experience or affinity in IoT." Dekimo Experts hopes to employ 15 to 20 hardware and software experts at its Enschede branch within three years.
Off to a good start in the region
Oost NL was able to help the company by providing information about the various ICT, electronics and semiconductor ecosystems in the East Netherlands, so that the company can get off to a good start in the East Netherlands: "That support was valuable in getting an idea of what is going on in the region and what relevant networks there are to connect to. We will find the right people in Twente, certainly with the knowledge available at the University of Twente, to make great strides", says Wispels.
Ben van de Broek, Project Manager Tech at Oost NL, helped the company with their plans: "Dekimo is a big name and a great addition to the business community in the East Netherlands. Their knowledge is in line with Twente High-Tech companies and can possibly also mean a lot to companies involved in medtech, the energy transition or cyber security applications."
This makes Enschede the eighth branch of Dekimo Experts, with three in Belgium (Ghent, Louvain-la-Neuve and Leuven), one in Germany (Aachen), one in France (Paris) and now also three in the Netherlands (Delft, Eindhoven and Enschede).
