Good Growing Solutions (GGS) is a new Dutch AgTech business, started by leading international investors from Australia, South Africa and the Netherlands.
GGS is focused on the development, marketing and investing in technologies in the agri-food sector, with emphasis on optimizing growth and quality. Its headquarters is in Almelo (the Netherlands), with associated companies in Perth (Australia) and Pretoria (South Africa).
The lion’s share of the research in new investments takes place in East Netherlands, from where GGS cooperates with companies all over the world. They introduce new technologies that benefit Dutch farmers, agri-investors and producers in export products.
GGS estimages growth in the coming years to a total of 30 employees.
Cooperation
By cooperating with a company that is leading in Artificial Intelligence (AI), GGS developed a custom product for autonomous mass-growth optimization of medicinal cannabis. They make use of the ‘vertical farming concept’ developed by Hydroponics Netherlands Almelo. Sources from the US have been enthusiastic about this farming method.
GGS is also cooperating with the agricultural distribution company Laeveld from South Africa. Laeveld serves some 8,000 clients and 13,000 products. They are expanding their internationally unique franchise concept from their base in Pretoria to the Netherlands.
From the perspective of the International Business Development department of Oost NL, we see the arrival of GGS in East Netherlands as a positive result of our intense focus on South Africa.
