Solarfields is a developer of large-scale photovoltaic power stations (also known as ‘solar parks’) and solar energy systems, and already has locations throughout the Netherlands, in Groningen, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. Establishing in Arnhem brings the company to the east of the Netherlands, which allows it to better serve that region.

The new location in Arnhem is expected to provide up to ten direct jobs over the coming three years, as well as € 100,000 direct investment and € 15 million in expected hardware installations. Building a solar park requires intensive cooperation with local contractors.

Solarfields was offered help in finding a location in East Netherlands through the regional development agency Oost NL. Oost NL helped to locate office space in the Arnhem/Nijmegen region for Solarfields that was close to relevant companies in the regional energy cluster. The eventual location at Jansbuitensingel 30 in Arnhem meets this requirement.
