British fertilizer producer Levity Crop Science expands to Raalte

Improving Crop Production

Levity Crop Science’s mission is to improve crop production, by reducing waste, increasing yields, and boosting farmers’ profitability. Their ‘smart’ fertilizers have been carefully developed to enhance or intensify existing natural plant processes, and,target specific parts of the crop. For example, in potatoes, these fertilizers strengthen tuber growth while reducing leaf growth, increasing the yield per plant and reducing the number of potatoes that are the ‘wrong’ sizes.

Levity’s fertilizers are also effective for crops like avocados, tomatoes, and strawberries, where they’ve been shown to increase shelf life by preventing the bruising that often leads to wasted, unsold produce.

Dr David Marks, founder of Levity Crop Science, explains: “Our products work efficiently, ensuring targeted growth in fruits, tubers, and grains. They are absorbed directly by the crop, unlike many conventional products that dissipate into the air or water. We help farmers optimize their crops while protecting the environment.” Because Levity’s fertilizers are more efficient, farmers can reduce input levels while maintaining or increasing yields.
