Sustainable optimization of agricultural processes

Precision agriculture, also known as smart farming, uses technologies like sensors, drones, satellite imagery, and data analysis to optimize farming processes. These digital tools enable farmers to gather detailed information on crops and soil, helping them make better decisions and apply water, fertilizers, and pesticides more efficiently.

Cropin’s Cropin Cloud platform provides farmers with real-time insights based on AI and weather forecasts. This empowers them to make informed decisions, boosting both productivity and sustainability. Through the Cropin Cloud, Cropin supports regenerative agriculture, promoting sustainable practices that restore soil health, enhance biodiversity, and protect ecosystems.

Cropin collaborates closely with governments, public stakeholders, the agro-industry, and farmer organizations. Together, they address key challenges such as agriculture’s impact on climate and the urgent need for sustainable farming methods.

‘Oost NL Introduced Us to Key Regional Partners’

In collaboration with StartLife and Wageningen University & Research, Oost NL played a pivotal role in helping Cropin establish its presence in the Netherlands. With the opening of its office in Arnhem, Cropin commenced operations with an initial team of five employees, with plans for future growth. From Arnhem, the company will adapt its services and manage sales across the Netherlands and Europe.

Prateek Srivastava, Vice President - EMEA at Cropin, said, "Through our advanced technology, we aim to support European farmers in their shift to sustainable and regenerative agriculture. Oost NL has connected us with key regional partners, such as Foodvalley NL, and we are eager to collaborate with stakeholders in the area."
"We chose Arnhem because it is at the forefront of deploying cutting-edge, sustainable solutions in agriculture. The Netherlands has achieved remarkable success as the world's second-largest agricultural exporter, despite limited cultivable land compared to larger countries. This success stems from the country’s focus on productivity, innovation, and sustainable practices. We are committed to being a trusted partner for agribusinesses, governments, and development agencies, not only in the Netherlands but across Europe. Our Arnhem office will be instrumental in driving this vision forward."

Angelique van Helvoort, project manager Food at Oost NL, added: “We are proud that Cropin has chosen East Netherlands as the base for their new European office. With their advanced technologies and focus on sustainable farming practices, Cropin is a valuable addition to the agritech ecosystem.”
